The M62 really should never see over 15 psi since its efficiency drops so hard above that. I've also never really heard someone making that much, since its a bad thing. With a blower the less boost you make with the same pulley size the more power you make.

Right on. I am only making ~10 on my 2.4l w/2.9"/exhaust.

It does seem possible on a 2.0l with stock exhaust, small pulley, maybe. But you are right that does sound like a bad thing regardless as I have read the same thing on efficiency.

I was thinking 18ish max until I read that.

I run 25 psi on the stock sensor with my tvs and have no problems at all. I'm not a tuner but I think ounce you go past the limit of the sensor your basically shooting in the dark and you just watch the afr and knock. I actualy have a 2.5 I'm about to put on which will give me a couple more pounds of boost. You should be able to tune with the stock sensor though.

bump just to let folks know i got my tmap 3 bar from ballenger and fyi its the same exact part number from the crate engine depot site. If ced had listed it as a tmap and not just a map i could have saved 15 dollars just thought id share the info. And the 3 bar tmap i just got is a direct fit into my stock harness so lets lay that misconception to rest. The lsj can use the upgraded map for the lnf as well and can be bought from ced for cheap

its stupid i see that in the automotive industry all the time. One part will be better and cost less the the oem part.
heres a pic same exact part number ced should change the description to a tmap sensor, because a lot of map sensors dont include the iat part
