3" Catless downpipe

With the upcoming acquisition of a 3" catback, I am going to swap the 2.5" catless DP for a 3". What little looking around I have done, leads me to 2 choices. The ZZP 3" which with the bung drilled for the o2 comes in at $170, and the Intense one which comes in at $200.

Anyone used either and have a good experience or a bad one?

ZZP will be fine but remember you will throw a code if you don't eliminate the rear 02 via tuning.

I already have a 2.5" catless and the code is disabled via HPT.

No problems with the flex pipe or issues at all like quality?

CTI also makes one as well. Not sure on the pricing however, but they make excellent stuff!

I thought you weren't modding your car anymore
You might as well just break down and turbo it now.

The mod bug is too strong. Look at the Mustang. Over 60K into that and it still itches.

I wouldn't mind going turbo but it is pretty pricey with all the parts associated with it. Besides I am a Supercharger guy, maybe there is a Whipple in the future.

Isn't CTI stuff usually expensive?

I think that is the way I am going to end up going. I got my tranny mount from them and dealing with them was top notch.

My C/A(XTC) DP is good, have had it for maybe a year so far, no problems. Only complaint is that it does leak around my 2.25 catback flange, but that is just because of the pipe size difference, and the bolt holes on that flange don't line up for the same reason. I have the 3", no cat one. It is fine for me.

It was a custom made one not using stainless so it is on the rusted side (and only gonna get worse) I wouldn't recommend using it as it's life isn't going to be a long one.

I have a 3" catless ZZP pipe now . Ive had no issues whatsoever . After about the 30K miles , the flex portion of the pipe isnt showing any signs of wear .
