I was wondering this same question. If you are thinking about putting out in the 300 hp range would a 3" exhaust be the way to go. Any updates on the 2.75"?

It's a 4 banger Supercharged. Doubt you need 3' inch exhaust. Your losing so much bottom end and only gaining very little top end. I don't see a need. If your worried about restrction may I suggest just replacing the muffler first?

I didn't loose any bottom end. I gained a little top end. 3" is really not doing anything for a stock cobalt. The sound is the only thing you will gain from it. On a modded cobalt you should gain a bit.

I'm suppose to get my Prototype 3" exhuast this week. They've been working on it for 3 months now!!! I'll let everyone know the gains, and sound pics and sound clips. I might be trading or selling it for a 2.5 Corsa sport though, 3" might be too big.

Which company is making it? I would assume that the companies name is Prototype since you capitalized it but that is a stupid name for a company.

yours asking for advise then everyone says no need for a 3" but u insist then why even post....if you plan on making over 300hp then just get it no need to buy twice but if you dont think u will have the funds nor the time for a year or 2 and want an exhaust go 2.5"

I too want a 3" exhaust with my current setup. Plus the future. I was hoping to get the Vibrant 3" with their header, but now I don't know if they are still developing a 3".

We have 3" Vibrants coming into stock in a few weeks.

Also, our 2.75" is an excellent trade off between the 3" Vibrant and the 2.5" Corsa.
