3" Pulley safe on Stock Injectors?

I want to buy a 3" pulley for my cobalt ss/sc but i need to know if its safe to run it on stock injectors with no tune. I will be getting my magnaflow exhaust before the pulley as well. Will my car throw a cel and will it run fine because i dont want any problems wiht a brand new car. Thanks, Brandon.

its not technically safe since it will throw your injector duty cycle well over 100%. which means you run the risk of having the injectors fail. though many people have gotten away with it for a while...

I see so its not great but can be done. I'm not the kind of person who floors there car all the time. I only do so when racing or when i just feel that urge to get on it. Otherwise with gas prices on the rise i keep those urges down thanks guys. Anymore suggestions?

I ran a 3 inch pulley for a couple months. No problems. I have a 2004 redline.

I havent heard any problems from running just a 3" pullie. But it is a fact that a completely stock ss/sc is over 100% idc. I live in south florida so my air is more dense hense higher idc(technically) and I havent heard of any failure or had any problems myself on my stock pullie and injector ss/sc.

see, this is what frustrates me about this board, you can;t get a concrete answer. i posted the exact same question a month ago, and everyone said it was a bad idea, that it was the ghetto way of modding and so on. and now in this thread people actually speak up and say they;ve done it and it works well, yet in my thread everyone says diffrent.

that is true man and as much as i would like a straight answer there really isnt one. Its a win win or lose lose situation. I guess i have to try it and if all fails i wasted 200 so i will go back to stock.

I run it on a daily basis its fine but you get fuel cut out early in 1st once and a while and almost always in second around 6250rpm so you just have to shift a little early. 300rpm wooo! third and fourth are fine to redline. 15-16 psi do it!
