3" Vibrant exhaust
3" Vibrant exhaust
So my friend bought my gmpp exhaust and gave me his 3" vibrant exhaust and to be honest,it's way to loud for my liking.Has anyone ever swapped out the vibrant muffler for a quiter muffler.I already ordered a resonator. Thanks in advance
Yeah i need as much flow too because i'm getting the TVS in a couple of months.I was looking at the magnaflow 3 chamber mufflers, hopefully that will bring the sound down.
i find magnaflow abit to high pitched tho. I got mine from CIA...didnt realise it was going to be magnaflow resinator and magnaflow muffler...but once u get pas 3500rpm..its really high pitched. Although i love the power gain. Was running the tvs at 21psi with stock header,dp,exhaust...so this opened it up and made a huge improvement.
just get another resonators to get rid of the rasp and there is something that is going to sound odd ball but will work and you wont have to get a muffler.. you can always do a ( Y pipe) to a (Xpipe) to another (Ypipe) and it will quite it down quite a bit... we did this to my friends 6.0L goat with slp loudmouthll and it was super loud before but after the xpipe was installed it quited it down and took out alot of the drone... so ur exhaust would look like this.
( Ypipes and x pipes= {X} )
Header /DP------{X}----Resonator----Muffler or any order that u can fit the y pipes and x pipe in there. Rilly i dont know if it would do much on this car being how it is a single flowing exhaust but i am going to try it eventuily and see if it helps out... wont cost much at all lol go to auto parts store and tell them u need two 3" Y pipes and 1 3" Xpipe and then you should just weld them together and test fit it with clamps to see if it sounds descent and if it does than weld it in... DONE! lol
Flame suit on ( figured i would get flamed for trying to tell u something diffrent)
