Looking to get around 300HP out of my car. I would rather stay away from internal mods. Car allready has GM Stage 2 and GMPP catback. Any ideas would be appreiciated. Thanks

i would say probally about every bolt on for the car every cooling mod a real good tune 2.5or2.6 pulley

The stock compressor is junk with the mods currently available to consumers.

 

there are a couple local cars down here in miami that have broken 300whp on stock blowers and engines. one of them(italianjoe1) is stage2, 2.8, full catless exhaust, intake, cobra heat exchanger, dual pass with option B, and a 50 wet shot of nitrous. he broke the 300whp mark quite some time ago and he has been running this setup safely for over a year if i remember correctly

 

I concur. Add a 2.8, full exhaust, cooling mods, and a 50 shot. Should get you there. If not, send me your car, I'll do a few little tricks here and there to make it run like mine.

And I have the bigger C/A H/E, not the Cobra, just sayin.

 

How long would the LSJ and tranny hold up to that power on stock internals?

 

...without internals/ cooling mods? don't think thats a very good solution to have 300hp like that.....not unless you wanna survive for like a day

 

yeah tvs or twinscrew, buut you'll need to cool her down before you even think about putting 300whp.

No, still Stage 1 tune.

As long as you make it. Poor tuning is what kills these motors, and poor driving is what kills the trannys.

300 at the wheels = 2.6", intake, dual pass, HE, ported blower, header, header back exhaust, 60's, and a damn good tune.

300 at the crank = 2.9", 42's, intake, header, exhaust, and a decent tune should put you over 300 at the crank. For safety measures, cooling mods never hurt.
