ok so i did some looking around and keep finding mixed reviews on things. Anyone run a wet 50 shot with these mods and not have a damaged engine ?

I want to run a kit that only comes on at wide open throttle and cuts off if i miss a gear or not when im just daily driving. Any ideas on where to get a kit from ?
this is the only kit is 400 and also a 600 dollar one i found it all comes down to good selionods is what i have been told

an does a 50 shot = 50hp to the crank an figure in a 10-15% drive train loss ?

 

blazin had said he ran it with no problems. if you take precautions, I'd presume you'd be ok. and yes, usually a 50 shot translates to around 45whp, 75shot around 65-70whp.

 

You have to be careful running it with a stage kit from one of those vendors though. It would be wise to get tuned specifically for it.

On a GM tune, that's a different story. 50 shots are usually not something to worry about... but with the added timing that comes with some of those canned tunes... i'd be cautious.

 

The GMR Stage 3 kit is set up for a 50 shot, and is very safe.

The kit you have listed is not a "Stage 3" kit, and will be best if you get it custom tuned for the mods & shot of nitrous.

frigging F&F single handedly turned a brand called N.O.S. in to a substitute word for nitrous

 

im just trying to figure out if its worth it. i only want it for the track to get a little edge. I dont want to spend the money if i cant run it safely

 

It can take it... I am running a 75 shot with about the same mods as u but instead at 19 psi with a 2.8. Also u didn't mention any intake mod but I hope u got it. I have ran a couple of times with n2o and the lowest my wideband gets to is 11.2 So I think u should be more then safe with a good tune. Good Luck.

 

Thanks D Ya i have an intake. So im hopeing to make some good power. i dont know if a 3 or 50 would make much difference. I hope so. thats for the real answer
