What do you think the .50 is limited to power wise?

you wont see the full 640 out of that turbo with the smaller ar size but its going to pull hard everytime. I would guess 500-550 wheel, but your butt dyno will love the lower powerband. IMHO. You have to remember that 640 is crank. you will loose 75hp at the wheel just from drivetrain with those kind of numbers.

If and when I can afford a pt5862 like you. I would go with the .50 but that's me. That's where I would like the lower spool.

If I can get mid 500's wheel horse with the .50 I think I'll do that. Because if I can have low-ish spool with mid 500's it should be deadly

I am not making any promises, this is just a best estimate, you need ported head, cams, etc to make the thing breathe up top to see those kind of numbers. But I feel I would be well over 500 with my ported head, cams, 3" exhaust etc. I feel like that would be obtainable in my car. Your mods are different so just want you to be sure about what you want. If you really are chasing the numbers go with a .60 if you want the best daily driver street beast at whatever you end up with up top, you will be happy with the quickest spool possible.

I'll have E and with my 1000's I should have plenty of fuel. Just depends on where the turbo maxes out with the .50 housing?

yes, get a ported head if you dont have that already and cams, On my stock cams I still cracked 420 with the ported head, exsoccer is on stock cams and he made 600whp. So its possible just gonna be fun to see where that turbo puts the 2.0l with our dual overhead cams... Cant wait to see what you put down. I will be following in your footsteps with he 5862.

One thing I thought about, Josh ported your head for a blower (large exhaust ports). Is that going to work ok with your turbo set up?

That's a good point blue. Zrated89 has the 6262 and he got his head ported when he was on tvs. He says he has pretty fast spool. I'm thinking I could get away with a .60 housing and still have good spool because I'll have that big ported head. Not sure if that is backwords thinking or not

Yeah man no two setups are going to be the same. I thought you had a ported head, wasnt sure. Then I read your signature. For some reason it doesnt show all the time on mobile.

Just go with what you like. If you want the big power go with the .60, I feel like it wont be that bad either way because I was boosting on bad turbo bearings at 4500 full boost and it felt stupid fast. I then replaced my bearings and spool at 3600 and that is why now I would trade top end power for spool. The car is so quick sooner.

I'm only revving to 7200 for now so I don't want the power coming on too late. I talked to Kenny (zrated) I think with the .60 I could have full spool by 3800 or less.

BTW, I am going back and forth on my turbo cams. Not sure if I am going to install them right now or in the future. I want to get back to the dyno with my fuel system to see what my 20g will do on stock cams with the extra fuel I have now.

I say go with the .60, you want 450-500TQ to come in instantly? Say goodbye to your trans and clutch. You just said you are broke, I see a .50 calling a trans a clutch build in the near future lol

I have my rev limiter set to 7500 with springs and bal shaf deletes. But I am not going to do cams now or an ATI balancer. I shift at 7000-7200 and spend most of my time in the lower power band. I have no need now that I am well into the 420whp range or do I need to spend any time in the 7000-8000 rpm range. The 20g sees near or over 400wtq/whp from 3600-7000. Couldnt be happier with the way the car is dialed in.

I am just content with my mods and drivabilty that I think its time to quit going any bigger. Time to move onto other projects. I am still going to go back to the dyno with my new fuel regulator and see if I can eek out a few more daily driven ponies.

Think I am going to sell my turbo cams and get a rear hardcore bar and work on my suspension mods, and car audio. Been dying to build a single subwoofer system/component front stage for this car that is cleaner at higher volumes.

574, you dont need to rev to make power with turbos. That is for the Gosh Darn Slow guys. LOL, see what I did there. JK JK
