It could be alot of things, you need to get the codes pulled to see if it is spitting one out (which it should be).

does a regular scanner pick this up or does it have to be a special one?

Alot of times it depends on the problem. If it is a wheel sensor a normal scan should pick it up. I think you need a tech 2 to access the ABS module.

You wouldn't be able to tell a difference in braking unless you were in snow or slammed on your brakes.

Mine came on yesterday too, thinking its probably a wire, though I'm going to try to get to autozone or somewhere to have them read the code for me.

When I changed my tires I noted on my car that one of the lines had a few slices in it from the mounting clip, I'm assuming that's where my problem lies.

LMAO.....GET IT SCANNED thats the first step to a proper diagnostic!

if u start swapping parts without even knowing the problem....u better have deep pockets.

if u dont have a scanner handy, at least visually inspect the system.

My ABS light has been coming on every time the road gets wet. I figure it's a sensor and the dealer wants $90 to scan it and if it's under the drivetrain warranty it's all covered, if it isn't then I have to pay.

Guy at Autozone said he couldn't scan chassis codes, if that helps.
