Advice on what to do. Please help.

I have a 2007 Cobalt ss s/c with the stage 2 upgrade from gm with a 2.85 pulley. My car has not been running so great and got it scanned and its running lean. I dont want to change my 2.85 pulley so what do you all suggest? Im thinking about getting the zzp 60lb injectors but would I need to tune it after that or could I just run the 60's with the stage 2 tune? Im in a terrible bind and thanks for any advice you guys can give me. Btw I only have 500 dollars to spend. Much appreciated if you could lead a good guy in the right direction. Thanks .

with 500 you could get a set of 60's and get off that shitty tune
a clean set of used 60 $150 and say $300 for a tune
best best and a decent power difference

2.9 is stretching it for the 42lb injectors... i wouldnt be running a 2.85 at all with that you have.
You have 2 options: buy a stock stage 2 size pulley, or get 60lb injectors and a tune.

Thanks for your reply man! The big question I need to ask you then is where can I get a tune? Do I just buy it off zzp or intense websight or do I need to go somewhere to have it done? Dont have any knowledge on tuning. If I have to go to a place to have it tuned then I wouldnt know where to begin because Im not even sure if there are any places around here that have any cobalt knowledge.

Ok I am on the zzp websight and Im gonna order the zzp 1.0 pcm . I added the product description that I have the 60lb Injectors and also put in the 50% boost reduction in 1st gear. I will have a shop install the injectors and the 1.0 pcm all at the same time. Shouldnt take too long for labor to have this done am I correct? Thanks

If you have any mechanical skill just do it yourself. The pcm just plugs in. Here is the how-to for the injectors https://www.cobaltss.net/forums/how-...jectors-22907/

Ok so if its not gonna idle right then maybe I should change my order to the 50lb injectors that zzp recommends. I will have to call them on Monday and ask them . Let's say I do stick with the 60lb injectors, will it hurt anything?

50lbs are going to limit yourself
60 are deff worth the money regardless off what their site say
50s will just probably just support your pulley
60s will give you room for future upgrades and make it so you wont have to buy new injectors later down the road
with a good custom tune you will make good power and idle just fine
idles rough with canned tunes but still do-able i talk from experience
pm me if you have any questions

always step up the the largest you could ever want, the 80s can be tuned for a good idle and will support any future upgrades. skip the middle sizes and go right to the 80s.

Yeah they are shipped and on the way. Not too worried about the idle issue with the 60lb injectors, just need to fix the problem quickly before it gets any worse. I've been looking for tuners around central Florida so I will take that step alittle later down the road. Just wanna fix this problem quickly
