could you maybe take a picture of the install instructions, or explain how you got the stock airbox off of that tube? i was wondering if you could easily reattach the stock airbox back on?

Thanks

Reattaching the air box is relatively easy. It is time consuming and tricky, but its not very difficult ( not many screws involved ). The only difficult part of taking out the air box was unscrewing the screws located further up the piping, just below where the airbox and SC piping meet. Otherwise though, the instructions made it very easy, and it isnt as difficult as I had thought it would be. Also, taking the MAF sensor off the original airbox was a pain in the ass, so we ended up unscrewing them from the airbox before removal.

Other than that, it wasnt hard at all. The best advice I can give ya is if you get a CAI, make sure it has instructions, and make sure you follow them closely and remember how you disassembled everything. Otherwise, dont sweat it, its easy.

Im going to be installing a CAI on my friends SS/SC soon ( hopefully ). When I do Ill make a comprehensive How-To on it and post it online for everyone.

Well, the exhaust is another story, but I know so far that the AEM hasnt thrown any CEL's for me. I would recommend bringing your SS/SC to a dealer or auto shop for any CEL's thrown after install of exhaust. Just have them check it out, and make sure that there is nothing wrong, and ask what you can do to get rid of the CEL.

like I said before, that is an expensive filter. Sounds just like what I did to my stock intake. Cut the filter box off, sanded down the pipe right under the senor . Bought a E-1009 K&N filter popped it on the end an booya CAI for $60. Same dammn thing and no one can tell me other wise. Who gives a **** about a CEL once a month , not me!!!!!
