Hey guys I am posting this everywhere to see if anyone else ever had the same problem and help would be great.
I am having issues with my scan gauge for a 06 cobalt ss it will turn on and be lit up and sometimes display the opening screen and then show two parameters but you can't change them and it only shows their names no actual numbers and then other times it will light up but the display will be extremely faint and no many how many times I turn it off and on it won't change. I have tried to see if the lcd was dimmed by holding the left button but that is not the case. When the display does show it says auto connection not completed. Aeroforce is telling me to send it but since I bought it used I don't know if it still has a warranty connected to it so before I do so I wanted to get some opinions.

 

the gauge is faulty. send it back for warranty.

Yeah the guy who sent it to me showed me a picture with a date on it which showed the day he took it out and it was working just fine

 

what year is his cobalt?? what u described is when i put my friends SS/tc aeroforce gauge in my SS/SC and it didnt work but they powered up

 

usually if they were working and then go really dim but still display information its the gauge thats faulty. now even though he's not getting any readings i would still say its faulty.

 

Yeah its an 06 and it was in an 06 before so I guess I will send it out and eat the cost I need to just buy new from now on

 

well if you wanted to confirm or deny its functionality, see if there's a member in your are with an aeroforce thats an 06 and swap gauges for a few minutes, if theirs works on yours and yours doesn't on theirs then you have your answer.

ya i have those from time to time.

 

Mine get's a bit wonky in cooler weather.. Takes maybe 15 minutes to warm up and then works fine...

 

Cold weather will do that but aslo depending on what parameter your watching too. Mine will take a minute to actually get the knock retard number to show up but it always shows up

 

I can't change the parameters one is boost the other is SC inlet pressure I think the power is a wiring issue but no numbers still when powering up it says annunciator not connected

 

Mine say annunciator not connected too but mine brings up numbers and switches parameters
