Aeroforce interceptor question
Okay so my interceptor just got here. I got it put in, everything works fine except the gauge stays on even when the car is off. The gauge is used... I'm trying to figure it all out still. It said I had 440 hp lol any idea what's up? I used the search button and haven't come up with anything helpful...
Did you remove the red jumper from the back of the gauge? it sounds like it wants to draw power from the obd-II data port.
The HP thing is not accurate. If you go on their website it tells you how to calibrate it but I definately wouldn't go by the gauge for measuring torque and HP. the 1/4 mile time should be accurate unless you spin the wheels.
This might help out a bit as well...

Aye, the 2 things you can do to get more accurate information is set the HP adjustment and altitude. HP adjustment also affects its MPG readings, so I left my MPG metering on and then compared the avg to my real MPG, then adjusted it as necessary. I think it's at 60 right now and it's pretty close to right.

okay folks here's pics of my gauge. There wasn't a red jumper. There isn't even a spot for the red jumper. Just the spot for the power and the obd2 wire

sorry if the pics are blurry. It's the best I could do. I also noticed that I don't have a cycle mode where it cycles thru the readings and I don't have a set up menu. I have the regular menu.. Like I said I bought this gauge used... I've tried multiple fuse spots, like the sunroof fuse, the cluster fuse, and the ignition fuse and it doesn't make any difference.
BTW, I just looked it up. The altitude of lucedale, the town I live, is 142 feet above sea level. The track I go to is about 3 miles from the gulf of mexico, so I imagine it's under 50 feet lol

That is a Cobalt Aeroforce it is just an Original like these

You need to use an add a fuse and hook it to a keyed power source (like the sunroof fuse in the fuse box in the passanger foot well)
Then run a separte power wire to the gauge.
Do you still have the conector that goes to the three prong on the back of the gauge.
it has three wires the two outside are for external divices like an lc-1 wideband and the middle wire is for a switched 12v power

Yes, i actually have an add-a-fuse on it with the original three prong connector and it's connected to the cluster fuse in the passenger side foot well fuse box. I've also tried one of the ignition fuses and I've tried the sunroof fuse. I think I may have to put an in-line switch on it, but I'd rather not if I can solve the problem. If I do that, then I'll just hook all of my a-pillar gauges to that fuse that way I can manually turn them on all at once.
I'm assuming that since this is the original gauge then it doesn't have a cycle mode. I've read about a few things that this one doesn't have.

Thats wierd because the picture above is an install I did on the exact same car as ours
I hooked into the sunroof switch and when you turn the car off remove the key and open the door the gauges shut off
I'd get in touch with aeroforce maybe they can be of more help?
