I've been looking for one as well, the last time I tried getting one made the company I talked to stopped replying to my emails inquiring about them.

Someone able to shed any light on the matter?

Can you remember who was selling them in the past?

Thanks for that, doing a bit of a search last night and found that in the US the Aerial Atom is using/ used the LSJ (in the UK they only fit the Honda) does anyone know what they used,?

They also look to have a nice header too.

Mantapart has a horrible reputation for screwing people over in the J-body world. I would stay as far away from them as possible.

On the flip side, Nate from Smoothflow has an excellent reputation here. I would contact him if I were any of you...

Have you ever picked up an A/C compressor?

I don't have operational A/C as I have GM Stage 3, I don't use it often enough even if it did work, and losing weight off the front of these cars can do wonders!

Hi,
How far are you with the install?
My car is finally finished, so now I'm slowly working on my LSJ conversion. Just received a P12 LSJ ECU and I'm now working out the wiring. Want to make it as "plug & play possible" for my VX220/Speedster...

And an AC idler pulley would indeed be very usefull. Will ask the Atom Ecotec guys for this.

Asked around in the Atom forum and got some photo's from Bolus which helped me a lot.
The Brammo build Atom with Ecotec LSJ engine obviously has no AC, but also no idler pulley on that spot. The whole belt layout is different than the normal LSJ pulley system.

Off course the crank pulley and the SC pulley are in the same spot, but they have a 2,2 Ecotec belt tensioner and I think also the 2,2 alternator as it spins clockwise and the alt. pulley is different than the standard LSJ version.
There is a custom idler pulley mounted above the alternator and only a single-sided ribbed belt is used:

Hope it helps your build.

the Grand Am Cobalts use the stock Cobalt ac compressor gutted and dismantled, using the front pulley, bearing and pulley side ac comp housing for a simple reliable light weight idler that fits....

If anyone happens to be located in the twin cities and wants to swing by my shop we could try to come up with some sort of AC delete kit.

Feel free to PM me if you're interested.

Nate
