Airbox mod
So I installed the air box mod today..... not even gonna go into the details. You know, you would think a GM dealer would sell a K&N air filter, hell even a stock, nope.... so i had to buy a aem cone filter with a 3" lip on it. I even thought I would use plumbing rubber piping to fit coupling onto the stock box but wow makes a difference in sound and response burt almost half a tank of fuel toying around with people :P only question I have is, the bottom that goes onto that air box, does it really need to be there? :S and how easy think it is to get the filter wet?

I got my K&N filter from the local Canadian Tire - came within 2 days of my purchase. Anyways, I've been running the K&N with the bottom off for the entire duration of this wet and rainy spring season.
No CELS, no weird idle issues, nothing. Enjoy the sound and the extra horsepowers!

If your using a AEM filter , invest in a hydroshield . AEMs have a tendency to suck up liquid like a tampon due to their "DRY" design. Oiled filters repel water alot better, and if oiled correctly, will never affect the maf . I use a injen hydroshield on with my AEM CAI , and i havent had one issue.
