Will this improved #12597855 Ecotec Intake Gasket be similar to the newer LNF intake gaskets?? Or a Saab 9-3 turbo gasket? (Same head)

LSJ parts are not supported here in Europe, but Saab or LNF 2.0 Ecotec parts I can just order at the dealer around the corner...

they should swap it for you if it is still under warranty.

guys, does anyone here know how to remove the oil dib stick along with the bracket, without having to bend anything? see, mines broke on the braket where it bolts to the intake manifold, therefore is lose and ive been having issues with oil coming out from the end of the tube, when car is in motion. i try looking for some info in how to take those out but didnt have much luck. any help would be really apreciated.

thanks!

You probably put them on top of each other and checked the holes to see if they lined up. If it was the design of the gasket, it would be a height issue where boost could bypass. You wouldn't notice it if only checking the hole size.

Just my 0.02

just fixing my 2007 cobalt from this problem it was a cracked piston. Thought it was just the rings till i opened it up. I was running about 19 to 20psi of boost so im fixing it and turning down the boost.

nope my car ran fine..
u might see if the pcv valve went bad in the intake mani

Do this
Start your engine and pull the vent hose that goes to your intake from the back of the valve cover off the air intake.. Put your finger over the port on the air intake to keep the engine from running bad..if u have a ton of air coming out that hose i would bet money its a cracked piston
