This is why cars need to come with an oil pressure gauge.

If I had a catch can myself I would have taken pictures, but I don't and my car is thousands of miles away. Hopefully that works for now though.
I got one for ya. The custom intake I'm having made for me will not include the return line from the valve cover to the intake. Would a catch-can even be something to consider then, or should I just strap on a breather filter and be done with it?

Thats what they do on race cars, so I don't see why it would hurt anything. I just breather caps on my trucks valve covers and that thing is just fine.

but in all seriousness that sucks i think they need to do a recall on all the cobalt ss/sc's on there wheel hope, clutch slipping, dipsticks, trannies, superchargers and what ever else. and put us all in the new cameros when they come out. its nice to dream isnt it. or atleast give us our money back so we can get a different car.
Umm not trying to be a "spell-correcting" douchebag, but its "Camaro" not "camero". Over on Camaroz28.com, it is actually a form of insult to spell it with an E.

They won't be around until 4th quarter 08 so you have a while. Regardless, i won't one too but the cobalt is doing a dang good job of tying me over.

Not to be an ass, but if you're going to be correcting anyone, the contraction "won't" will not work for the application that you used it for. You may "want" one, but I'm sure you don't.. "won't" one...anyways...

I don't know, I drove it while scanning it hitting 7k rpm and 18 psi boost. And the dip stick didn't pop out once. Maybe it was a 1 time event?

Ummmm... Well, at this point I would just talk sweetly to your car and tell her that she needs to stop acting crazy and making messes. Tell her to keep her dipstick where it belongs, and you'll give her an extra coat of wax or something.

I just washed and waxed it today! How did it thank me? By running like dung beatle **** on 91 octane. So much knock that I could hear it loudly! Sure its a scary fast ride with 101 octane ($5.99 a gallon) but with 91 octane urine gas it runs fine until I hit 8-10 psi or go over 50% throttle

No, it just doesn't like the shitty gas we have here in AZ. It runs rediculously fast on 101 octane (WAY FASTER than when you and steve rode in it). Remember when we took it out and I got on it and got up to like 100? Well I took it out to the same place with 101 and my custom tune and got up to 125 in the same amount of time.

Maybe you need a custom tune for 91 octane. Or you could get a boost controller to limit the boost. We get 93 on the east coast, so it's not as bad as you guys have it. I would be careful with that detonation either way.

I think I might just leave the tune, but turn boost inhibit on. Then I would have the only Cobalt SS Supercharged making zero psi boost but seriously I'm thinking about that. It might just work and one of the guys down here accidentally turned it on at the track and still ran a high 15!!! Thats pretty good!
