Holy ****, that started out as maintenance?
Good luck with that. How many miles are on there, is all that about how it is supposed to look? Sorry, I'm a newb to internals, so pointers are welcome

well i sit at home waiting for parts again, and i dont work till thursday so im extremely bored, lol, stupid ******* work, maybe ill make a ranting threa i might be a ******* post ***** this week lol, oh well,
so yah, i got a question for some fellow builders, how crucial is it that i get my crank, rods, flywheel, and pistons balanced, or do i need to, im just kinda worried cuz if my pistons dont show up by the end of next week, i dont know ill be able to them balance in time, id like to have my car running for may lol, but if my pistons dont show up soon im screwed
I am wondering this myself, esp since I am going to use a complete different rotating assembly. I am going to talk to my machine shop that is doing my block work, see what they recommend. I was however told that it isn't needed on an inline motor.
see i dont think i need to balance it, if i dont when my pistons show up i should be less than a week and i should be running with my full set-up i got some suprises up my sleeve yet
I've seen and built motors without balancing, but unless you plan on rebuilding all of the time I would balance them. There is going to be a lot less wear and tear on everything crank, rods, cylinder walls, bearings, you get the idea.
Hope everything goes well

well this one is to get me through untill i build a 2.6 L monster, well porolly a 2.4 block and 2.0L head, so i think i might go with out, everythign looks mint cept piston #4
