Another E85 question?

So I've searched and read through multiple threads here on css and other forums...searched articles on google...and I can't find a straight yes or no answer.
Can a Cobalt SS/SC run on E85?

Do you have to buy a conversion kit or can you just run with #80 injectors/tune?

If you do need a conversion kit, does it just change out the fuel cell liner & fuel filter?

Has anybody running on E85 had problems with corrosion of any kind?

If someone could answer this for me I'd be mucho appreciative! Every thread I've read has people saying yes and no. There's obviously people running it or have run it and those are the people I would prefer to post. This might **** some people off because there's a lot of threads on this but no clear answer.

80lbers and a proper tune and your set. Nothing else needs to be changed and there are no problems as of yet.

I guess I'm confused by all the other threads and the discussion then. And what does the conversion kit that they sell actually do it you don't need it? Would I have to run a smaller pulley if I change to #80 injectors?

You can run whatever pulley you want, i have know clue to what kit your talking about. ALL you need is a tune and 80lbers.

You wouldnt be using e85 to its full potential without a 2.9 or smaller pulley IMO. I would recommend the 2.8. I personally run a 2.7 and everything is golden. Like zach said all you need is 80lb injectors and a tune. Then you would have to get the pulley and the cooling mods (i.e. H/E, dual pass, opt. b) to run it. And remember the smaller the pulley the more cooling you need.

Well I'm already running h/e, dual pass, and high flow thru tank. And I'm getting ready to do 60's and a 2.8 this weekend hopefully. Thanks for the help guys.

You can use 79lbers or 80lbers however the 80lbers are more like 93lbers when used properly.

07ss - You cant run e85 on 60lbers you need 80s.

Oh sorry. This was for future modding. I'm going to run that setup for a little while before i move to e85. There's only 1 place around here that has e85 so i'll be running 2.8 and 60's until i move in September.

Gotcha, if you need a tuner for those 60lbers let me know, I very well might be out that way here shortly.

I was going to ask you how your little setup works. Do you have another job or is this all you do? Do the person you're tuning pay for plane ticket and hotel? And how much do you charge?

Alot of people use the 60lb injector tune with 80lb injectors and e85. It works almost to good to be true. All you have to do is swap out the injectors, fill up with e85 and clean up the fuel trims, maf, and add timing. That is what I have been running. Now im trying a real 80lb injector tune out. Im going to try to see if theres any pros to doing it this way. I guess I have never dealt with 79lb injectors thats why I didnt say them.
