Any more mods?

Over the summer I plan on getting BYT tuned for my 60's and 2.8 after I completely break my engine in. I was wondering if there are any more supporting mods or any other mods to help me make better numbers. I dont really wanna run meth so try to leave that out. Mods are in my sig, what other things would you guys get? Open to suggestions...Thanks

Have BYT tune you after he builds you a custom turbo kit!

That's the only other mod you need...

Use 80s tuned for E85 and a 2.6 pulley plus buy a CXRacing h/e, its the best Ive seen so far. Port n polish ur head and intake mani, trans mounts, and u should be set. Thats basically what Im doing to my 05 ss next month. Im selling my turbo kit and going back to a sc set up.

He already has a good heat exchanger.

If you want to talk about whats the best heat exchanger look up the Griffin.

My buddy Sean aka blackbaltsw and I are doing a Sc build on my car soon. Its basically gonna be the same as his old ss/sc. That car used to rape guys around Chicago and the CXRacing h/e was awesome. Its just my opinion tho. Theres a guy on gmsc that ports n polishs lsj heads for like $350 but u gotta pay to mail it to him too. I forget his name tho, or just ask a local machine shop what they charge

Also my friend got BYT tuned and he had just stage 2 and an intake, he put down 244whp. So im thinking should be able to put down atleast 255-260whp with all my mods on a BYT tune, is that obtainable or am i just too hopeful?

It will not damage the blower rotors. Some people have experienced some of the abratable coating on the rotors removed due to high meth mixtures, but this does not happen to everyone. If you are worried about that you can always spray meth into the intake manifold.

BYT is definately the guy to go to. I was ZZP GM 2.9,ZZP 3' Catless DP, Injen CAI,GM3+Trifecta. Dont look at just dyno numbers though, they all read different and are more of a tunning tool.

3 Runs:
Base:233/190
2nd:243/199
3rd:253/223

Hope this helps, oh yeah with just those parts i ran a 13.4@104 on street tires.

That's fine. Do you plan on having BYT install the GMS3 OS and custom tune with that? If so, you will then have high octane mode, and be able to run race gas. To make some nice numbers you really need some sort of octane with these cars (E85, Meth, Race Gas).

I dont go to the track at all, and still enjoy running race gas while in H.O.M.

Think about it man. The GMS3 tune is a much better tune to begin with over GMS2 (not that BYT can't give you a great tune using GMS2), plus you will have all the features that come with it (user adjustable rev limiter, high octane mode, nitrous). I don't use the nitrous feature (yet), but its nice to know it's there.

I thought you are going to be running a 2.8 & 60's?

You dont need a smaller pulley to run all that stuff. Actually, it's wiser to stay at a 2.8 and above if using nitrous. Now that GMS3 is tunable you can have Nick tune you for any setup you can think off while still retaining all of the great GMS3 fetures.

Ohhhh i didnt know exactly what you meant, alright so i can run GMS3 on my 60's and 2.8 so i get all the features...assuming i still get a/c lol and would that cost more? And i may not, i said in the post before that i may just have him tune me on my stage 2 to see if im happy with the power i make, then if i want more i could just move up to 60's and 2.8 since i have all the supporting mods

I'm pretty sure BYT is a Trifecta dealer as well so he will be able to hook you up with GMS3 + trifecta. You will have A/C, and can tune for any setup your little heart desires, haha. You can start out with a slightly larger pulley and your 42's, and down the road have Nick retune you if you decide to get larger injectors and such. Having the GMS3 features are great.

Speak to Nick about, and see what he thinks.
