anybody who has a cat back exhaust
I want to get the loudest and best performing but still leagal cat back for my 06 SS/SC what brand would that be? and where does the GM cat back stack up against the other avaliable exhausts?

I just read a thread about Hahn coming out with 3" cat back and 4" tip (not available yet). There is also word they are developing a header, DP and high flow cat. This should be a good set up.

The Magnaflow sounds decently loud. The Corsa Sport sounds pretty loud also. I'm not sure how the GM Sport compares.
If you want loud and obnoxious go with a Flowmaster 40 series, but a couple local people that had it felt that they actually lost power with it. They then switched to the Magnaflow and love it.
I think 3" is too big unless you are going for some serious power, like 350+whp.

Corsa Sport is the loudest, without a cat its, "look at me loud"
Also i plan on going 400+ and im only going with a 2.5", i dont think there is a need to go to a 3" exhaust, i could see if our cars were turboed but they are not. Turbos build boost off of the exhaust thats why most turboed car owners buy a 3" exhaust.

yea the 40 series sounds like ass on small displacement engines. I have heard the corsa and i think it's the best combination of loudness and quality sound.

Yesterday, when I got back from driving for a while, I think my magnaflow finally broke in all the way, cause it was loud as ****! It still sounded good, SUPER deep, and SUUUUPPPER loud so loud my ears were ringing!
The loudest exhaust you can get is some pipe.... what? Thats it, piping all the way to the tip. Its loud as hell!
