Anyone With Mechanical Boost Gauge and or Narrow Band AFR Gauge
Boost
so i hooked up my mechanical boost gauge lastnight. For some reason it satays at 0 for like 5 mins of driving then all of a sudden it starts to work, but when i throttle it it goes up to 0 and wont go into boost. i used the vac line comming out of the intake mani. any reason this is doing this?
Narrow Band AFR
this gauge stays on green (rich) all the time has not moved, i tapped into the purply pink wire with white stripe, is this the right wire? i thought narrow bands were suposed to be all over the place?
Any help is much appreciated!

You hit the wrong line for the boost gauge to work. Follow the vacuum tubing from the supercharger to the box on the driver side of the motor, the bottom line, I believe, is the one you want to T.
As far as the purply pink wire...it's ghey so I'll leave that alone

narrow bands are not really effective... it just says rich and lean. so if the car is rich, it will stay there. the widebands give real time accurate a/f rations, so they will be all over the place. you just had it backwards.

ok i will try a different line for the boost, i saw on one DIY one guy had pluged one end of the T? was i suposed to do that?
as for the narrow band, it has not budged at all, i would of thought it would of moved once at least, is that wire the correct one?
P.S - my narrow band gauge is just a filler gauge right now till i get my header and wideband.

ok so turns out iam on the same line that you are on in the pic, i was on there the whole time, and it still only starts to work after 5 mins or so, then it starts to go up towards 0 and stops at 0

the turbo ss stock gauge is useless?
and what does it matter if you want to put a mechanical gauge into a car? i would rather a mech over an electric gauge anyday
i'm getting real tried of all the turbo crap on here...a car is a car...deal with it
