Anyone Pondering Boring and Stroking

Like the title implies, has anyone tried or thought about boring and or stroking the 2.0L to get a 2.5 or 2.7L? I figure if we're on the quest for more power, it seems like it would be easier with a bigger motor.

Wouldnt that compromise the strength of the block?

Stroking it to 2.2 at least shouldn't be too hard, as the 2.0 is only de-stroked from that, anyway. The 2.4 has both a larger bore and stroke than the 2.0, so that, too, could be an option. The bigger the stroke, though, the more you'll be limited on how high you can rev without getting lots of new parts.

Not if you just bored it like 30 thousanths, thats good for about 5 ci or about .1L I'm sure you could bore it more though. The block wouldn't be compromised as its aluminum with iron sleeves

Yeah but with a HUGE stroke we would make enough torque to rip the tires off the wheels
