anyone using amsoil ea nanofiber air filter?

from what i have read, this is the best filtering air filter on the market, and the flow rate of this dry filter media is near that of most oiled gauze filters.

link:
AMSOIL Ea Synthetic Nanofiber Air Filter (EaA)

Where can i get one of these for a cobalt ss/sc? should i get one to fit the stock airbox, or is there a better one available i could use with the air box mod? also interested in the outerwear bag.

they dont have one listed on the amsoil website, but perhaps someone can cross reference one?

thanks in advance!

Yes. It came with my Injen intake.

Infact Injen only uses Amsoil EA Nanofiber filters with their intake systems now.

They are great filters, and just from reading/researching about them they put AEM's dryflow filter to shame.

cool intake, but im just looking for a filter. from what i've been reading, changing the intake post-maf will give an error code without a tune. I definitely don't want a tune because of this:

At most, i'll buy another stock airbox and do the air box mod and swap out the modded box for stock when i take it in for service.

Changing the intake w/o a tune can give you a code on a stock car, but it doesnt happen to everyone. Post MAF sensor is not where the error would happen. The error code can happen from changing the placement of the MAF housing, or even a high flow air filter (although very rare). Make sure you arent reading things about intake issues in the LNF section, because their much more sensitive to intake modifications than the LSJ. I was just showing you a photo of my intake so you see how Injen uses Amsoil filters now. I wasnt showing it so you buy a cold air intake

You can do the air box mod, and use an Amsoil filter. Go to the "how to" section and look for the how to for the air box modification. Pretty much you purchase an Amsoil filter that will fit, and remove the bottom of the air box. Works pretty much the same as a full intake since the SS/SC comes stock with a cold air intake.

I've heard good things about them, but haven't used one myself. Just to throw this out there.... you might want to check out AFE Pro Dry filters too. Been researching best filters myself lately and AFE's seem to be highly recommended as well.

best pricing and availability I could find was here: Universal-Fit Air Filter | etrailer.com

nothing listed on the amsoil site, and injen is a full aftermarket intake system. i just want a filter. there has to be one that can be cross referenced. i hate to have to take the wheel off and all that crap just to get some dimensions. does anyone still have their stock filter laying around so they could measure it for me?

Amsoil carries all sorts of size filters. Search on here for the size filter people have used for the air box mod. I'm sure you will be able to find one.
