please anyone wake that has installed a B&M short shifter?????

thanks man ok i'm basically done the install but as i'm putting it together i notice the its being pulled to the left side...then when i go to install in the car at the points i marked it won't let me in to first or second gear

its like the fat part is blocking it ..

what i do wrong

 

wait i think i know why the hell is the fat park pointing to the 1st and 2nd and not 5th and reverse

 

Ding Ding Ding, you figured it out! Fat part towards the reverse gear since it has the reverse lockout notch on it.

 

how do i turn it around it only have one like drilled indent

 

when u guys bought ur shifter the fat part then the indent to screw the blue ball on the same side or opposite

 

well i fixed it... i just popped out the pin that holded the reverse lock in and removed the whole thing.... fits perfect and thank god no more reverse lock

 

My SS/SC came with a B+M short throw ... I hate it, either the guy who installed it before my purchasing of the car was stupid, or the shifter is junk. Either way, 1st and 3rd are a PITA to get into when I try to get a fast shift. 2nd, 4th and 5th are all pretty smooth tho. And also reverse is a bitch lol.

 

BlackK, your shifter cables need to be adjusted just a hair. The B&M is a great piece and helped my 2-3 shift out greatly.

 

I have the B&M too... works great.. just gotta adjust the shift cables... no problems shifting at all

 

i have a problem getting mine into 5th, got any pointers on how to adjust that ****?
