you need an "add a circuit" kit to make it turn off when you turn the car off. Its like 10-15 bucks from autozone

you could connect the separate red power wire to a 12v source in the vehicle. They only are "hot" or putting out power when the ignition is on. Im not sure which gauges you have or how you connected them but you could do this.

I wired a bunch of stuff to one of the 12v ports in the center console. I switched one to just be a hidden switch. As for what your readings should be Im not too sure.. Depends on your tune and mods sometimes...

If you got it brand new when it turns on you should be brought directly to a setup screen to select parameters and such, also you can scroll to setup to change it at any time... You also may or may not have to select your car type.

This may also help with any other questions or concerns you may have. This is an in-depth user manual.

Look up the "How to" install Interceptor on this site. Everything you will need to know is in that thread.

Only the red wire is for power, I hooked mine to a switched 12v and I can leave the obd2 plug in all the time, gauge goes on and off with car. The white and green are analog inputs. To use the other features you just go to the menu and scroll down till you find whatever you want to do.
