just because you spend a **** ton on head work. does not mean your car will make more power. hell it could be slower.

@ 07metallic ... gotta look around. mine cost around $400 for a complete disassembly, reassembly, deck, port job and flowbench.

as i said, you can waste that extra $500 if you want

only one in the area is jannetty, but i dont know if they do anything with heads, and if they do wether its in house or not. doesnt matter to me tho, i have the money, dont mind spending it with fred as hes never let me down, and everyone whos delt with him and his work has never had issues. wether its the top number ill get here or else where doesnt matter. i know his history with his clients and his level of work and that to me is where my money will go wether its more or less

i have less than a grand in my ported head that has been collecting dust in my garage for over a year that will hammer the ass of 99% of the "ported" heads on this forum.

BTW, for power numbers

see the loyalty response would've worked more than saying they're the only people that will do a radical port job, because the latter is simply not the case

find someone who ports motorcycle heads. not just someone who works in the "automotive" field at a machine shop.

this is not some sort of great mystery. in fact it's really simple.

now your reading off the beaten path, my original post said of the vendors on here that offer head work you will get a more aggressive port from smg. thats all that was said, then you started going on about 1000 valves, two fat girls named glitter and who the hell else knows what

the local people here who port motorcycle heads charge more than smg would charge

not what I said: no one (to my knowledge) on here has done an a/b comparison on a test bed dyno ported to unported head.

If they have, it has not been posted...

GM has done the testing extensively. They developed the GMR CNC profile, for an exhaust ported head for increased power. GM found that increasing the size of the inlet port provided no meaningful gain, and so did not offer that. I have a couple of the GMR heads left, brand new with valves etc, for 1500 bux plus shipping FYI...does not include upgraded valve springs. Contact OTTP if you want one...

I guess I will have to be the first one to post my A vs B results.

I started a thread for you on RLFs and then remembered you are not on RLFs anymore. lol

It basically went like this...

[QUOTE=selfinfliction;4729974]i'm not a vendor, and i don't do port work.

it's all gravy though if you want to waste an extra $500, hell while you're at it order a set of $1000 custom valves too [QUOTE]

like i stated before you snap a valve and create thousands in damage or prevent the problem from ever happening, and i have no idea why you are making fun of my valves when they are hands down the absolute best you can buy.

nothing like being able to sit in a parking lot and brag about having the fastest valves in the county!

i'm not going to argue logic with someone that spent $3000+ on a head of car that probably doesn't even put down 300hp.

your apology is accepted sir

please read before you post, this is a direct quote from me. and i also dont see how what i do to my car concerns you.

"do me a favor and find my valves and springs at a cheaper price, you cant because they were custom made for me, out of a more expensive material, and let me clarify that Dave the owner is a very good friend of mine and even gave my sister a job there. i did not pay because this was a Christmas present from him and my family, but he said if anyone was to get what i got it would be around $3,000 with everything."

reading helps, try it
