bad mab header install

just installed the bad mab header on the car lastnight, wasnt very hard, just took alot of time since the bolts are a pita to get to. had the car out today since the roads are pretty good and everything seems good, but i was just wondering if i should install the heat sheild, or if it will be ok without, personally i dont wanna put it back on, but i dont wanna melt or burn anything. thanks guys.

no you dont need it

i dont even think you can put it on as one of the bolts for it is suppose to connect to the stock manifold, which you now dont have

I have had mine since february and I am happy with it. I used the header to head gasket that came with it but I put a GM gasket where it bols up to my ZZP downpipe. I never had good luck with those foil gaskets holding up so I just chucked that one.
