Hey guys I have had my stock battery since 06 when I bought the car and I am thinking it's time to switch to something different. I did a compression test the other day and after cranking it over a few times the guys at the shop had to put a battery charger on it and said that it might be time for a new battery. My alternator was going out for a long time and I had a lot of trouble with it so I am sure that didn't help. Improper charging, draining the battery a lot, a ton of jump starts, voltage fluctuations a lot, etc.

Either way what kind of batteries do you guys recommend? I was thinking of grabbing a Optima red top, but if there is something better out let me know . Also, what is it that makes Optima so much better compared to stock and other batteries?
