Will I expierence Belt Slip with a 2.9? or should I stay safe with a 3.0?
I don't want to pay for a tensioner or idler pulley. lol.

the stock belt will probably slip with a 2.9... the stage 2 belt will be fine.

Oh i would not use the stock belt with a 2.9. lol. I was wonder'n if that GM S2 belt would not slip on a 2.9. Cause it said anything lower than 3.0 u'll need an idler pulley or tensioner. but thanks guys for your help.
and dam distillion....2.7 with no slip? I think i'lll just do the 2.9

go get an idler pulley from a cadillac catera, thats what i did and it cost under 10 bucks. if you dont want to spend 10 bucks on an idler pulley you really should rethink modding.
