I recently installed zzp stage 2 on my 07 lsj. Im very pleased and everything is working fine. Only issue im having is the stage 2 belt smells kinda like a skunk. Im not sure if its because its a new belt or what. Its really not that big of a deal. I can only smell it when I come to a stop after driving for a bit. Has anyone else had this issue? Should I be worried about the smell?

not burnt. it seriously smells faintly like a skunk. I havent hit or ran over a skunk.

 

Sounds like belt slip. Did you install a larger tensioner pulley?

 

no its a 3.1in pulley and im using the GM stage 2 shorter belt. The stage 2 kit is the only mods I have on the car besides airbox mod and HID's. Everything is running just fine Lots more power still getting the same MPG as I was before except im driving alot faster than before!

 

Silly question. But is your belt lined up properly on the supercharger pulley?
