Belt Tensioner

So I took my s/c off today mainly to prep myself for installing the dual pass endplate, just so I knew what I was in for and stuff (first time taking it off). Everything was pretty cut and simple till i got to that damn tensioner. The taking it off was easy, I weasled it off blah blah, putting it back on was a totally different story. After some blood on the pulleys and a bit of scruffing up the idler, it got on... Is there a better way than just an open end 15mm? I could've just said **** this car today.

yeah ralli i was just taking the belt off.
i emailed zzp about their tensioner to see if they could mail me instructions and more info.
looked into that pulleyboys thing and 90 bucks is kinda ridiculous, atleast the 100zzp thing i can reuse if i drop pulleys, right? Im guessing its a direct replacement of the stock tensioner?
I just felt like i was rounding the stock piece off everytime the damn wrench would slip

I don't even play with the tensioner. I just loop the belt around the s/c, and then push the supercharger down on the manifold and start putting the screws in. Bingo, easy as ****.

Hmm that's a good idea also...i'd be kinda worried about knocking something off or bending a mounting stud or the gasket though lol

is it tough to push it up on there so it's tight enough or pretty easy?

it helps when you have someone putting the belt on while you compress the tensior makes it alot easier and use the long style 15mm.

I just changed my tensioner pulley and belt and all that blah blah...
I found it easiest to use a small pair of vice grips...
wasn't easy pushing the tensioner down but they stayed in place and was nicer then useing the 15mm.
oh and gloves...i learned that from hurting my hand on the thing from the pressure I was applying.

i tried to shove vice grips on there but none of them were small enough to fit inbetween the damn pulley and that mount used for pulling the motor lol
