I must say that I went with the Vibrant Header and DP and I really like it. It has a great tone, was relatively easy to install, does not leak like I have heard, and looks awsome. I don't have any Hp numbers however...The only reference that I have is the GTech RR. Before the Vibrant Header, DP, and the Magnaflow I was running an average of 14.2 in the 1/4 on the GTech and after i had an average of 13.8. Of course there are many variables like the temperature, wind, etc. Plus the fact that I will get better times with practice. Here's a few pics anyway....

when you're looking for the best header with tq/hp are you thinking of running with a cat still, or no cat included? Long tubes are definitely better for tq increase and overall power, shorty header's are just starting to peak when you're at your redline. ZZP offers the midlength, but i still think the primaries are shorter compared to the CTI and the Vibrant long tubes, also, make sure you get 1.75" diameter primaries.

If you don't care about catalytic converters, love polished stainless, want a 4-2-1 long tube thats said to make 20hp, and you are mechanically inclined or have someone that can install if for you, then you might like the weapon-r header.

don't do the pacetter it's not worth the money IMO they're prone to having lots of problems have a small collector and you need to have a custom dp setup

its a mid length, a pretty nice piece for the money, probably 10~15 with a dp

its not small its just rounded making it harder to find a dp for it.

I guess i am partial to what i have, but i'm in great belief that nothing is better than stainless especially when it comes polished.

and holy **** that long tube header looks like the sex..

i wish my header was polished stainless but really i don't care as long as it works lol

With ZZP midlength, what you have to take into account is that with 1.75" primaries with ceramic coating, catalytic converter, and stainless downpipe (to get the longer resistance to corrosion and heat that some of the higher priced headers have) it gets to be about $600.

1. The high temp paint version is fine
2. You don't need a stainless downpipe

Guys have been running the combo i posted for years without any problem

what people also need to remeber here is we doi have a supercharged motor and forced induction completly negates the purpose of a head, and that purpose is scavanging. scavanging is when the pulse from one primary creates a vacume in another pirmary during valve overlap, pulling more air/fuel into the cylender. with boost, you are forcing air into the cylender, and doing that during the overlap is more pressure than scavanging effect of the header, making it usless in boost.

however, im not saying a header is usless on our cars. out of boost, scavanging is still a big part. shorty headers only work at high rpm, but a long tube/small primary header is designed to increase low end torque, were we dont have the boost. without calculating it, id guess a 4-1 header with around 34" primaries and an 8" collector would work the best with 1 3/8 primary diameter, however thats going to restrict power up high. i plan to build a header, planning 1 5/8 primaries, around 30" primary and a 6-8" collector.

enough rambling, long story short, a long tube header will always be more benificial to us. iot will provide more low end torque and drivability out of boost.

so for stage 2 with a 2.9 do you think the 1 3/4 zzp midlength header dp combo with 3in dp and 2.5in exit is a good investment or not
