i think most long tube's end with 2.5" collectors except for CTI header. And i may love the vibrant header, but i barely consider it a 4-2-1 header other than the great pipe transitions. I say 3" collector is what will help out, even though scavenging isn't as useful on supercharged cars.

The best headers are mainly about flow and smooth transition for optimal airflow so make sure the welds are nice and smooth and the y pipes aren't at too much of an angle. Thats where you get the bigger difference on 4-1 than 4-2-1's where 4-1 have a large transition into a chamber causing disruption of flow.

I just bought the ZZP Header/Downpipe combo and the total was 480 which was including shipping(like 24 bucks!) 1.75inch primaries, magnaflow cat, 2.5 inch downpipe. I didnt get any of the fancy polishing cause your really not going to see it anyways! And I know it helps with heat just incase anyone says something about it lol

Im not trying to jack this thread but there are way too many threads on headers/exhaust that I don't want to add to them all.....

So from what I have been reading/finding out is that the general consensus is that unless your going to be modding for more power than the GM Stage 2 then to stick with a 2.5" exhaust? right? Considering that is correct, why? And would this set up be good (good as in make the best power given Im not going past stage 2)? GM Stage 2, ZZP mid-length header & DP combo (1 3/4" primaries, magnaflow cat, 3" DP w/ 2.5" exit), and some aftermaket 2.5" exhaust (haven't decided yet- any suggestions would be appreciated). I also have an Injen CAI and other mods will be done but not specifically power mods.

I really really really like the sound of the Hahn 3" exhaust but if it will be robbing me of power then I obviously will not go that route... but I'm really trying to go with the Hahn exhaust. What should I do?

i have the weapon-r, and i had already modified my catback and downpipe before i installed it, so i don't know for sure if it bolts up, but it seemed pretty close to where the old catback end would be. If you had professionals install it (which i recommend anyways) then they could just cut off a couple inches of the catback and re-weld on the flange in order to compensate for any extra length of the header if it doesn't fit up correctly.

primaries are for sure 1 3/4" diameter, secondaries i'm thinking are around 2-2 1/8" dia. (haven't measured them) and the final collector is 2.5" with flex pipe and 2.5" exit. Primary lengths are about 24-26" or so and i think the secondary lengths are almost equal length as the primaries, maybe 2 inches longer, i measured it a while back, so i don't remember for sure.

Notes: - Downpipe includes ultra high flow catalytic converter.

- Features 45mm OD Primaries and a huge 2.5" Outlet.

- Will bolt up without any modifications to both the stock exhaust system and Vibrant's STREETPOWER Cat-back for the Cobalt SS/SC (part #1627)
