I have seen the instructions for the stage 1 and stage 2 install. The stage 1->2 install mentions that the stage 1 install and reflash must be done before the stage 2 pulley and belt are installed (This is posted somewhere on this site). As far as I have seen....there is only one reflash - the ONLY way we will know 100% for sure is if someone gets the stage 1->2 upgrade and watches the tech install the kit and actually SEES the second reflash being done.

I am not sure what they would be calibrating in the tranny...as it is a manual transmission and has no tranny ecu.

Also...the computer would alter the fueling for different pullies with the stage reflash based on the mass airflow data, intake air temp, exhaust gas temp , and intake manifold pressure. I am willing to bet that the stage flash allows the computer to tune for a broader range of modifications (pullies).
