In the 2.0 L performance forum there has been a thread about mods done with aftermarket parts. In one of the threads a intake vendor had mentioned that even GM knows that the fuel injectors are undersized in high boost situations. The stage one and two kits address this problem with larger injectors(stage one) and a smaller pulley in stage 2. That means the burp in rpm you saw in the vid might just be fuel starvation. I am not a techy, but I do read. This just my opinion

there is a problem with the ecu you have to take it back to your dealer to get the computer reflashed they are having an error with rough idel and rpm surge around 3500-5200 rpm i had that and got my computer reflashed and it doesn't do it anymore and somehow i got more boost out of the reflash before my cobalt only would hit roughly 10.5 psi now its closer to 12-13 psi its great

this has happened to me more than once, not very often though. It dropped about 1k and then jumped back up...pretty much a "hiccup" like everyone else has described.
You folks that have gotten this, is this grounds for a reflash?

Fist off my car never hiccuped , But today after picking it up from the dealer after a reflash , i suddenly have this hiccup at 5000 rpm in second gear and the car has less power now , then before the reflash .
I called the dealer on my way home and they said bring it back Monday Morning
Does anyone have the Video saved ? as the link no longer works ..
2006 SS/SC
Thanks

Hey thats my car!!!!!!!! When I lived in Ohio. I think the problem was related to me using the short ram intake i made with the air box removed. I think the tranny heat was getting sucked to much into the intake. It hasn't done that since I put the airbox back in.
I ran my short ram with the box in and it ran great. I just back to the stock box and everything because my axel seal leaked and I didn't know what they would say about my own intake. I do miss the whine though

Once in 2nd at WOT my tach dropped from 5500 to 3000 then instantly jumped back up. I didnt let off the gas at all and I was still accelerating...I think it was just a tach hiccup. First one in 15k.

You think this sucks, my ENTIRE PCM took a dump! The car is at the dealership awaiting on a new one to be shipped. Nothing like being late to work because the new 06' just stopped running while driving down the road!

Typical Chevy, all sorts of electrical malfuctions and computer problems. They have awesome motors and usually very good trannys, but the brains that control them always malfuntion.
