Cant find a thread on this. Has anybody dynoed different header and full exhaust setups to find the best gains? Exhaust will be the last piece of the power puzzle for the M62 setup. hopefully that twinscrew was the real deal and that'll be my next blower but til then I want to know the best exhaust setup for a 2.8 M62

 

hey i think that bigger headers, new downpipe and stick with a 2.5 exhaust you should get like 260whp outta that with the 2.8 and 60#

 

I haven't dynoed it myself but the last owner said he got 265 whp and 230 torque with the current stock exhaust. - know this has probably been asked before but the search gave me nothing. If there's already a thread on it could I get the link please

 

i believe their is an official exhaust thread stickied in the LSJ section.

 

difference in power isn't going to be huge with exhaust but whatever you do just stay away from the jbp header aka noodle header... It sounds cool but has been know to actually make you loose power on the rollers. but if you are that guy that wants every possible whp you can get I would go longtubes.

 

This but that won't do you any good because exhaust doesn't add much to your hp
