You only have to remove one bolt.

I guess it depends on if you beleive GM quoted numbers ..I would be money that gm was being very consirvative when guessing the gains from a smaller pulley to account for people from all elevations..

A smaller pulley is going to make more power though and in most cases it is cheaper as well!

I priced it out and for me to get GM Stage 1 with a 2.7" Pulley, it is going to be about $300 cheaper. It will probably make about 10-20 more HP as well!

thats what I am doing too when i get back from Australia ... right now its 3" ..if I ever get the Pulley mix up sorted out with UPS.

(and yes its obviously going to make more hp that was my point that 2stbluess should not beleive gm's conservative estimate to cover their ass)

He already has the pulley part of the system though. So it would be a waste of money to him. If I didn't already have the BF on my car I would have went with S2.

1stbluSS, I'll let you know what I think. Honestly I'm not expecting to notice that much of a difference. There will be one, but since I've been running the 3.15 already it won't be as drastic as a guy going from stock to stage 1 or 2. I know there will be a very noticable difference when I put the 2.9 on, but I'm waiting until the new cluctch is broken in before it goes on.

There is quite a noticeable difference when I switch b/w 2.9" & 2.7". I could not imagine anything bigger than 2.9" or want to go back bigger.

Only time I'll be going back to the 3.15 is for the winter months. NO need to wear my winter tires out faster.

Ah yes I did not think of that... we don't see much of a winter down here. We only have two seasons: SUMMER and cool. Its 90 today... which is gonna suck for good track times in the next couple months.
