If the SC was a centrifugal unit, you could put a BOV or diverter valve (back to the airbox) on it as the throttle plate would be located AFTER the SC and there would need to be a way for built up pressure to vent if the throttle is snapped shut.

Usually the centrifugal kits have a recirc instead of a blow-off.

You cannot get a blow-off to work on our cars.

Hmmm, I think this is what you are looking for...........Just make sure if you install it in your car, not to post it anywhere on the forums.

You could definetly use one on a centrifugal supercharger. I thought the big advantage of a blow off valve was to maintain impeller speed on a turbocharger which really isn't a problem on centrifugal since it's powered by the drive belt.

That is more along the lines of a recirc/diverter valve. It dumps the charge back to the intake pre-SC and post-MAF so that the car does not re-meter the air. A BOV will allow the turbo to keep speed, however it dumps the charge to atmosphere which can cause some ECUs to freak out as the metered air cannot be accounted for. For an SC, a diverter will help equalize the pressure differential betwen the inlet and intake manifold once you are off throttle which will smooth out the way the engine reacts during a gearshift.

Basically...yes. Our SC's have an integrated diverter/recirc valve....so mod away and dont worry bout it

completely not true.. IF it was centrifugal supercharged then a blow off valve is needed
