just change in the metal, many have that. so far no real reason for the change

and for the dyno, something must have been up with it. way too high, i mean higher then STD correction on a dynojet

I agree...and why a mechanical boost controller? Its a supercharged car...boost controlled by the size of the pulley...

Yeah, mine has a gold tint to it too. I thought they were all like this until I saw someone else's. I have no idea myself why they could be different colors.

IMO i believe its just discoloration from the underhood temps and the heating of the charger itself...mine was kinda shiny grey when i got it, but now its starting to turn a goldish color...hope this helps.

Mustang dynoes suck. I had my car dynoed on a mustang dyno, the guy kept stopping the test at like 5200 RPM and it was only putting 170 to the wheels with intake and exhaust.

The mock quarter mile also said 15.2 when I had run a 14.6 in real life (stock).

i would assume it is beginning to turn a goldish color beacuse of the heat, over heating the blower and spinning past its redline over a long period of time

When i first got my car it was light grey, mine is still grey, just not as bright of a grey because of the heat.....

as for overspinning, on a gen V blower, just under 16000rpm, and a stock pulley or 3.0 or 2.8...will not be passing that.

hmmm...you guys think the color change is just natural with "normal" wear, or could it be a sign of a car that isn't driven very nicely?

does it happen in the other GM cars with s/c'ers?
