blower spacer plate

i know a couple of you are running one of these. now, the question being. are you also running a larger tensioner. or just the spacer.

reason im asking, for my application i believe it is overkill to do both. the spacer is half an inch thick, where as the tensioner will take up the same amount of slack {depending on which one i go with}

i have a plan in mind, but my tensioner is shooting ***** as well.

The twinscrew uses one, so I had to ditch my larger idler pulley and GM Stage 2 belt. Stock belt and your spacer will be big enough to take the slack out of a 2.8" pulley and possibly larger.

i got a 2.6 and stage 2 belt with stock tensioner and i got no slipage, but if it starts to slip i would go with the spacer or 3" idler pully

Bigger idler made all the difference for me with having belt slip and not having belt slip when i put on a 2.6" on my gtp. Kept me from having to step up to a 8 rib setup.

well, i was wanting to eventually put a t in the injection line and spray before and after the blower to a larger cooling effect across the board. which is why the spacer is tempting. i have never been too crazy about intense in the first place. im not tapping the manifold to do this.

something on my passenger side is making some funky noise could be the tensioner, then again, it has only started doing it since i put the 2.7 on the car, hene my belief that the stocker is failing.

both the spacer, and the oversized idler will have the same effect. just a 120 dollar price difference

You can usually feel the drag in the tensioner by hand once you remove tension on the belt.

I have meet both scott and zoomer both nice guys. The guy who makes my electronics is zoomers best friend. I know each have ther "Camp" but when it gets down to it they both are nice guys. And both have family's employees the business support so thats where competition comes into play.
