bolt specs?

bolt specs?

well i lost the 4 bolts that hold the sc to the mani. chevy wants 9$ a piece for them and wont have them before the bigshot dyno day on the 2nd. so im going to get them through my brothers machine shop. what i need to know is what thread ,size, and length the bolts are? any help is appreciated. oh if anyone has the bolts i need ill gladly buy them off you. thanks

They are in fact $9.32 each part number 11589214 and take about a week to show up. I cant get and specs on them. I tried.

ITs probably going to be a metric t hread,

Take several diffrent size bolts and see wich threads fit nicely finger tight
then measure how long you need, IE: how much metal you have to go through and the gasket.

Consider how deep the hole is it needs to go in

now you have a good estimation on your lengh
go abit longer
and use washers to shim it out.
This should work good for a temp job until the
correct bolts show up.

Go to home depot, assuming you have one, with one of the remaining bolts and match it up. They have plates that have different size bolts that you can screw yours in to then measure the length.

im just going to bring to sc and mani to the local fastenal and they will have the right bolts. thanks for the suggestion

i lost all four lol they were in my truck and i broke the trans in it. so i scrapped the truck but diddnt do a good enuf job cleaning it out. the next day i woke up like fuuuuk there in the truck. went there to try to get them back and the truck was already smashed. just my luck.

In case you haven't found it yet, its:
11589214
M8 x 1.25 x 40mm

You probably won't find a screw that looks exactly like the GM ones, but as long as they're the right spec they'll get the job done. I got my replacement screws at home depot.

thanks i got them earlier today from fastenal. had to buy a box of 20 but was still half the cost of 4 from gm
