Bone stock to 13s

I'm purchasing a 2005 or 2006 Cobalt SS/SC once i get back from Canada in two weeks. I was wondering what i can do to put the car into the mid 13s. I am a good driver i have raced my mustang many times. Any suggestions? Exhaust, intake, kit whatever, my only goal with this car is to do a mid 13. Thanks in advance.

RWD>FWD, its alot different launching a fwd carvs a rwd car. I'd say Stage 2 plus I/H/E, and you should be good. You could add cooling mods if you want, probly an upgraded clutch for sure though.

depends where your located too. up here in calgary, canada alot of stage 2 cobalts with exhaust 2.9 pulley and CAi are struggling to get into the 13's. i think we have had 1 or 2 to break the 14.0 barrier and they broke it by getting 13.90 or somthing.

he's not far from me. i'm doin 13.60 (last time at the track in march- i had less mods than i do now)

but i did it with this stuff minus the ported blower, and header/ downpipe (and i'm only an average driver... best stock time was 14.7@97)

I've seen people get high 13's without adding any power just ingalls torque damper engine mounts trans mounts maybe traction bars stuff that is the first things I would do before you add any power

With my mods I got a 13.4 and if I could get the car to hook I think I would be even lower. Maybe with a better tune 16" light weight wheels with some drag radials I think I maybe able to dip into the 12's.
