HAHA!! I would never buy a Cobalt!! I bought the redline because its way sexier and a total sleeper. Not a ricer like the cobalt. And as for the numbers, i could care less because ive never dynoed!! Dynos are for seeing how much you gain from mods not to see how fast your car is... And the sad thing is... I can still walk all over you with my little Saturn!! You know i thought i would give Cobaltss.net a chance, thinkin that i could get some info.. But all i get is wise-ass's that think they know everything... Guess not, see you all on the road from my rearview...

 

As far as looks, that's an opinion. Personally I dont' like the saturn at all, and I like my speedometer in front of the steering wheel, where it's supposed to be. But seriously, think about what you said. The company that dyno'd my car gains no profit by fudging my numbers. Any person familiar with business would know that the proper way to fudge, would be to make my baseline numbers low, and then tell me to buy a ported blower. Then after buying the ported blower, fudge the numbers high. And as far as seeing us in you're rearview, with the times in your signature, there's quite a few stock cobalts running better than that......

 

Oh, you could always come to IDDVII and prove it. There's 2 other cobalts and an ion redline going. Why don't you come join the fun and see what you run?

 

you have an 04 redline. I see where the hate can come from. Arent the 04 redlines the ones that dont respong to like any mods. You get a pulley and it runs bad, you get an intense kit and you run bad. I mean you can pretty much get intake and exhaust and probably run bad. And you think ur gona take badss...... I really think hell take you with his stock car. Plus, hes gona be putting down like 280 soon. lol.
Also, 06 are officially putting down more # stock than 05s. So now Imagine what how much more HP they make compare to your plastic can.

My stock baseline was: 214hp and 188ft/lb tq

Intake and Exhaust the car hit: 232hp and 208ft/lb tq

But that was all on a chassis dyno and 3rd gear pulls....

 

Thanks for the backup man Once the ecm get cracked, the 04 guys should be able to gain power with not so many issues. I appreciate all the nice responses, I'm excited! I can't wait to mod it now. Take care guys.

 

My brother had a volkswagen GTI and it didnt have a 1:1 gear ratio. Why would a car company do that. It obviously puts down more power than one that has to go to the counter shaft or whatever its called. I dont know, JMO.

 

Im pretty much stock too though.. Hopefully i will get some better times this weekend. Sorry about being a dick dude, i had a pretty bad night last night... And like an idiot brought it to a forum... How gay!lol Id like to come up and race with you guys once, i live in Shreveport LA so its not too bad of a trip up to St louis. I got a few friends up there at Scott AFB where i could stay. Ill get some dyno numbers this weekend from the show im going too. Ill have my BF 2.9 and plugs on tomorrow so there should be a nice gain. And for the mods on the 04's i havnt had a problem yet, but then again i have all the newest software in my PCM?? We will see.
