Boost Controller?

Alright I know we have pulleys that control our boost, but I remember hearing that our computer also has control over the boost. I was wondering if it were possible to throw on a 2.8 pulley and have some type of boost controller so I could choose what amount of boost I want. I.E. 12.5 psi for daily driving and 16 psi for the track(Or whatever the max of the pulley is)

Anybody have information on something like this?

The topic has been discussed before.

You can't use an EBC but you can use a MBC, it will work the opposite that it was designed to work.

So Reducing boost...

I recall hearing about that, but aren't the MBC's the same ones that are used on Turbo cars? I am sure a EBC could be adapted to just lower boost

No..

An EBC would not know what to do with it because it's designed to stay closed until a peak pressure is acheived then stop "Bleading" pressure to hold the wastegate closed.

In your case it would see the pressure rise and basically would operate the wrong way..

Like putting a thermostat designed for a heater on an Air-Conditioner. It would just not function the way it's supposed to becasue it's going to try to the the opposite that you want it to.

Just run the pulley and controll the load with the gas like a normal human would..

You can set a turbo to 30 Psi and never see 1 Psi as long as you control the throttle.

Same can be said about the Cobalt..
