I have an 06 SS/SC and i have a triple gauge pod installed. I was wondering how hard it is to swap the factory boost gauge for another boost gauge. I would like them all to be blue. I was looking at the glow shift elite series electrical boost gauge. Could I just splice the factory wires into the new wire harness and just plug it in. Any info would be great. Has anybody else changed there factory boost gauge??

 

also would love to know i hate my stock boost gauge doesnt look like good with my aem ugeo and aeroforce

 

Get a mechanical boost gauge, its much more precise. AutoMeter makes a nice series of them. I got rid of my electric boost gauge for a silver faced AutoMeter and it comes with these little light "condoms" to put over the factory white light, i used the red one and it looks sick and matches the gauge cluster pretty good. i think it also comes with a green one and you can buy other ones as well.

As far as swapping, you should be able to splice into the factory harness, thats how i power the light on mine.

 

I really want to change mine because i have a blue interceptor and blue volt meter gauge, then when i get the aem uego wideband the stock gauge wont match. Not sure what gauge to get. I should be able to splice into the factory wiring???
