Bout to swap pulleys

Im about to change my stock stg2 pulley to a 2.9 any pointers to get it off and not get the belt to slip

nobody? i was thinking take off the belt and hold the s/c pulley with a strap wrench

well, if the dealer put the pulley on correctly, then you would be able to hold it with your hand while you untighten the bolts. I believe the torque is only 16 ftlbs for those little bolts. I also found when using the 15mm open ended wrench to push down on the tensioner, do not allow it to slip off because it will start to round of the edge. I ended up pounding a 9/16, i believe, because its slightly smaller and my 15mm wouldn't grab anymore.

lol yeah the dealer effed up my belt tensioner. they used thread sealer on the bolts so i ended up taking the belt off the pulley and held it with a strap wrench, worked perfectly

is it that easy? i have stage 2 and exhaust and im wanting more power ofc! so all i need to do is buy a smaller pulley probably 2.85 and replace it myself?? it wont void warranty?
