well guys my car had a really loud rattle so i checked all accessories and any thing else i thought it would be. but i could swing it. So i decided to let my warranty do its job.. Gm has has my car sense monday and they found out one of the timing chain tensioner bolts sheered off... Its taken 3 days and they still dont have the bolt in stock wtf. anyone else have this happen to them?

 

Same thing happen to my car.

 

My car is rattling pretty loud too. Already ordered a new tensioner from CED.

Almost everything I've been needing for the last few weeks Gm has had backordered. You might want to call and make sure it isn't otherwise you may be going without your car for a while. I waited 2.5 months for a 5th main gear, synchro, and spring, then finally gave up and bought a whole new transmission. GM is going down the crapper bad I think.

 

yeah mines an 07. the bolt came in saturday so i should have my car back on monday.. the tensioner is located under the timing cover... i guess a pain in the ass job. biggest bitch is having to retime it

 

but timing it is all color coded
