bump stop cutting..
I bought some eiback sportlines from a guy and hes told me that i would have to trim my bump stops... is there a how to or something i never knew of anything like this
it's simple, just cut at the first ridge. You'll see when you have the bumpstop out. Some people cut them, some don't, but it's easier to do it as a "just in case" when they're out, instead of having to take everything apart again.
exactly; the bump stop cutting is a generic information sheet. dont do it for Cobalts...why? because if you cut you risk letting the shock/strut bottom out mechanically without enough bump rubber to cushion the blow. The strut has an internal bump stop as well, it needs all the help it can get not to get hammered...
