Bungs for dual passes
Joe - I never said anything bad about your products in the least first off, secondly if you can make a "small" profit doing it others should be able to also? Plus with me getting a "decent amount" of end plates for free I would be able to maximize my profit very quickly and with friends doing the work the welding would be even cheaper so why not? I honestly didn't know you did this otherwise I would have probably left you to do it. But as for the single pass why not try? It's members that don't try that don't help this community. We very well might come up with a "different" idea that cuts costs down or that works better or more efficiently etc.
I understand that qwik is a knowledgeable member of these forums and I am not knocking him at all. HE is the one that is trash talking me for trying new things. I don't understand it.

Single passes have been made in the past using the proper materials and a well made product and it turned out to be not worth there time selling it for a reasonable price. Now zzp comes out with a cheaper priced version at $400 they found someway to keep the costs down a bit I'd bet they dont make alot on these. Those are two quality places that I know of that have made them who each have alot of experience with these cars now you have YZrider who I've never seen any decent posts out of his "buddy" and zach are going to somehow make em cheaper? if true sounds sketch
As far as the headache on the single pass, it's really not that difficult from the looks of it and I don't see why people are bashing me for wanting to try something new. It's my car, it's my money why not go for it? I think there should be more people who should try to make there own parts and save money rather then "wasting" it at a vendor personally.

So I am going to be bashed because I can do something cheaper then someone else because we have friends that work in shops? That makes no sense. And who said I was doing it cheaper then qwik/flatgod. I can't do it cheaper then "free labor" on flatgods side and I have no clue what qwik paid. But I know that it can be done cheaper then what a vendor is doing it for so why not do it?
Zach, I know you are an established member here and I mean no disrespect to you or any others who have actually been a productive member of this community. To all the others who think it's cool to **** on the people who had to figure this out by themselves, go **** yourselves. You are the ones too ignorant to understand the asset you have in Quik and members like him, and due to the absurdity of the content that makes up this forum recently, all people like him are either not here or just not interested anymore.
I think when you come in and ask questions like that and chirp the vendors in the same post it can touch nerves if you had just gone ahead and researched on your own and made it and it was cheaper and whatever then cudose to you

Ask questions like what? If this was a high quality part...hmm doesn't seem very wrong to me? I have already researched it and it is cheaper. I just wanted to make sure the parts that I was going to use would be widely accepted in the community and thought as of a high quality part, that's all.
Wow who friggin pist in qwikylubes corn flakes this morning, strach that took a dump in your bowl. wow, zach was simply asking a question, if the community would approve of that bung, and you have to act like you did, now yes its not a big market if any to make money private but, the vendors are making money off you wether you want to believ it or not on this and it more than you think but thats why their vendors. it would be hard to out do there pricing thou. I do know the biggest money saver on this is to mod your own endplate and not buy from them. but not to make a bunch private. the money just not there, Im sorry but im no fan boy or a nut swinger of any kind, i try to make all my own stuff as well, if i cant make someting then of course i'll go to a vendor. but nothing againist you but this is what im going to call it but you douchebagary tonight was uncalled for, this is a site where were suspost to help people and all get along. man **** this...... whom am i kidding..... im going back to the ion forum....and yourcobalt
zach never meantion cutting prices and vendors in the same line people sometime get offended

Do you REALLY know you can? I don't think so. Qwik knows what it costs. ZZP knows what it costs. They have experience, qwik shared his. Tis what forums are for. His method of delivery is unique, granted. But Qwik has been around cars and racing since my parents were smoking weed at woodstock.
STILL none of this has to do with what I asked. A simple yes or no would suffice. Is this a good bung to use for dual passes?

zach that would work and be fine, but i might be able to get you a lower price and a local peagaus i know a few people but you'd have to buy in bulk well kinda you might want to do a bigger line than 1/2 perhaps. 3/4
I don't know if that would fit, I would have to do some measuring and find out. I don't think 1 inch will fit, but 3/4inch probably would. I will talk to sean about 3/4inch. Thanks for the tips guys!
I will buy 5 at a time no problem, maybe 10 depending on the price derrick.

We need ATLEAST 5. so if u buy ten we can split cost. And it doesnt cost 105 bucks to drill/weld a small endplate. And it doesnt cost 400 bucks to make a stock mani into a single pass. So yes the vendors are overcharging. I have professional welders that have been doing it for 30+ years to weld these and do a good job. Plus now that the single pass it done, and WORKS beautifully. Me and all my close buddies will be "testing" their own.
If you're going to be using a hose fitting to fit 3/4" hoses.. which is what we run on the intercooler set-up.. you probably need to get a 3/4" fitting and as such.. your bung is going to need a 3/4" pipe thread....
Once again dumbasses bashing people that are trying help out the community. I've seen one of their single passes and dual passes looks great. Can't wait to get one of there single passes on my car, as far as the dual passes, you're going to bash them cuz they figured a way to do them cheaper than anyone else and are still great quality, and they're welding it rather than a couple people I know that are selling using Quicksteel. People need to pull their heads out their asses and support people when they try to help the community rather than bash them.
^^^^douchenozzle
What do you have no friends that you have to make fun of others because they acutally have people that they can chill with and trust? Because said person may have no friends?
Why the hell would you make that comment dude? They are two good buddies that work on cars, make parts for cars, and chill with people, so wtf is your comment really worth?

qwik - ottp's price for 105 is INCLUDING the return of your stock end plate, for people who don't want to return it have to pay 255!! Which is absolutely over priced in my opinion.
All I simply wanted to do is get some opinions on the fittings. I myself am doing NONE of the work. All there is to do is take the end plate to a shop and pay them 30 bucks to drill the hole and weld in the fitting. I can get stock end plates for about 60-70 bucks, pay 30 bucks for it and thats 100 bucks. Sell them for 150 not including the stockers, which is 100 bucks cheaper then any vendor.
I really don't see why people are getting all butt hurt.

Zach, when people don't send back their core it cost's us $142.19 plus shipping to buy brand new gm ones. You can't buy them used at a junkyard and the very rarely come up on the boards for sale.
